Site Safety
Our Approach
Most facade work happens at height, at edges and under lifting operations. We put safety first in the construction management system rather than treating it as a fix afterwards.
From risk assessment and the daily toolbox talk through to site inspection and sign-off, the requirements are written into the process and kept on record. Workers know the risks of the day's work and the protection it needs — that is what makes safety awareness hold.
System
Writing safety requirements into the process, not just onto the wall.
From the risk assessment before work starts to the review record after it finishes, every stage leaves evidence that can be checked. The system loops — what we learn feeds the next assessment.
Worker Awareness
- Briefing New starters, new tasks, new equipment: we explain the method and the risks first.
- Stop Work Anyone who sees immediate danger can stop work and report it.
- Buddy Check Before work starts we check each other's harness, lanyard and kit — nothing begins until it is complete.
Five Stages
-
Risk Assessment
Before work starts, we identify the hazards of each task and set out the controls and equipment it needs.
-
Toolbox Talk
Every morning we brief the crew on the day's tasks, the risks and the protection required.
-
Site Inspection
The management team inspects at set intervals, correcting unsafe acts and conditions on the spot and recording the follow-up.
-
Permit & Sign-off
For lifting, edge work and other high-risk tasks, the method and the plant are signed off item by item before work begins.
-
Review & Record
Inspection and hazard records are filed, the review meeting checks whether the fixes worked, and the findings feed the next assessment.
What we learn feeds the next risk assessment — the system runs as a continuous cycle, not a one-off check.
